LUON builds first html tablet catalogue on the Belgian market for Fnac

For the 30th anniversary of Fnac Belgium, their printed promotional catalogue also appears as a web app for the very first time.

As this is a web app, you don't have to download the catalogue from the App store first. By simply entering the web address — www.fnac30jaar.be — in your tablet‘s browser you’ll immediately access a full-screen, fully browsable version of the Fnac anniversary catalogue. Its look & feel, use of navigation elements, swipe funtionalities, videos and large visuals make it feel like a native application.

The centre of this web app is a flexible framework that allows us to create new publications in a quick and easy way. The content is taken entirely from the printed version, but we’ve it enriched with interesting extras like editorial content. You can search by keyword as well as by related products and accessories. Once visitors have made their choice, the product can be ordered with one simple click.

And this is just the starting point:  the next version of this web app will offer offline surfing and social sharing.
