How we reinforced the brand’s position as trusted partner in real parenthood

Why we did what we did

Becoming a parent is a life-changer. As a brand and a partner, Zwitsal understands how that feels: the daily problems young parents face, their newly acquired responsibilities and how that affects their daily lives. By cherishing not only the beautiful moments of happiness, but also the difficult moments and little inconveniences that come with new parenthood, we celebrate and enjoy all aspects of REAL parenthood, with gentle care and a fair bit of love.

In 2020, Zwitsal decides to take their digital communications up a notch by meeting parents where they are: online. They call on LUON to help them create new touchpoints with their target audience on various digital channels, with highly relevant content and inspiration. Some topics are part of every young parent’s daily routine: diaper rash, bathing and hair care issues. Our goal: to be right by the side of every parent facing these problems and reaching out a helping hand.

What we actually did

From scratch, we created a set of short videos with hands-on tips to help young parents handle situations like diaper rash, bathing troubles or baby’s hair care. Zwitsal perfectly understands how it’s not always easy. And that’s the exact feeling we wanted to convey in these 6 and 15 second videos based on highly recognisable real-life situations: how a troublesome situation can turn into a nice and warm moment together with your child. By casting just the right mums, dad and kids, we showed other parents how they too can solve these daily issues, with a little help from their friends at Zwitsal.

How we made it big

New parents are highly connected and engaged on social media, especially when it comes to sharing their experiences in the daily care for their little ones. For that matter, social channels are extremely influential. That’s why we decided to promote the videos on YouTube and Facebook/Instagram throughout October, November and December 2020. And hooray, it worked: we managed to get 1,330.000 unique views on Youtube alone. Our target audience’s engagement on Facebook caught on too, with parents exchanging their own tips on the topic in the comments of the videos.

What it did for our client

These social videos — shot in just one single day session — reinforced young parents’ perception that Zwitsal is a trustworthy expert for gentle baby care and that Zwitsal’s product range has been especially created to make their life easier. By sending out positive vibes on everyday parenting issues, we convinced our target group that Zwitsal is the baby brand that really understands them and the joys and struggles that come with real parenthood.
