WPG Publishers set off on Pinterest maiden voyage

Rewarding the most persuasive of pins

Fifty Shades Of Grey, that's what the buzz was all about. WPG Publishers wanted to launch the erotic bestseller in Belgium with a blast and called upon us for help.

We set up a ‘repin&win’ contest on Pinterest. It was one of the first Pinterest campaigns of its kind in Belgium. The campaign mechanics are clear and simple: you just repin the contest image together with an image that reflects the spirit of the books. When you email the url of this ‘pin’ to WPG, you're in the running for a naughty-but-superb prize package, which includes the full trilogy set, a bottle of pink champagne and a scented candle.

The project was a unique opportunity to explore the possibilities of this new social media platform. On top of that, we built a followers base to start from for future excursions on Pinterest. The result? One of the most active brand pages on Pinterest in Belgium and a new Pinterest campaign for WPG Publishers in the pipeline.
